The Friendship Initiative programs are designed to deliver much needed services and opportunities to children and young adults with special needs and their families while offering support and volunteer roles for young people looking to give back.
The JCC helps the community with a wide array of high quality cultural, educational, recreational, and social programs for children, adults, and seniors. They offer significant assistance to our neighbors in need by providing children's scholarships and food from our WECARE Food Pantry.
SOS Children's Villages of Florida provides a family oriented community offering healing, hope, and home for children, young adults, and families to become self-sufficient, contributing members of society.
Equine-Assisted Therapies of South Florida is dedicated to providing therapeutic riding and equine-activities to children and adults with special needs so that they may improve physically, mentally and emotionally. They envision a place where abilities are strengthened, where activities lead to self-confidence, and each person can experience life without limits.
JP Taravella High Schools hosts an annual Stair Climb event to raise money to help the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation which provides assistance to the surviving families and co-workers of the 343 firefighters who made the ultimate sacrifice on September 11, 2001.
